Podcast #289 – Technical, Financial & Legal Issues of Becoming a Digital Nomad
Description:
In this episode I will talk about the technical, financial and legal issues of becoming a digital nomad. I will be doing this from multiple perspectives including someone who just wants to travel for a few months, others who want to travel full time, and finally those of you who want to move to another country but still work for someone in the US .
This is based on a presentation I gave in a Flexjobs webinar. Below is a link to the recording and my slides. I spent another 20 minutes answering questions at the end of the webinar.
This was one of their most attended webinars.
I’m a recreational engineer. I test everything and always have a plan B. I think you’ll find that I’ve thought of a few things that can happen to you. This includes losing your smartphone, losing your debit card through the ATM, or accessing legal documents when unexpectedly asked for them.
You are not at home and you may have trouble getting things delivered to you on time. things happen.
